Alexander Feller

Undergraduate Research Assistant
Biography

Alexander, a proud first-generation American, is a third-year undergraduate student at the University of Iowa. He majors in Biomedical Engineering, focusing on biomechanics and biomaterials. While he is following in the footsteps of his father, who also attended the University of Iowa to obtain his engineering degree, he has also pursued his own interests in dentistry and intends to obtain a DDS degree in the near future. Alexander appreciates the experience he has gained during his time at the Marcinkiewcz Laboratory and hopes to one day apply this experience to his interests in the field of dental science. Outside the university, he is passionate about helping underserved and underrepresented populations, volunteering at local food pantries and Habitat for Humanity projects during the semester. During the summer months, however, he spends his time volunteering as a dental assistant in the Bay Area of California to play his part in helping serve his fellow Asian-American community.
