Sam received her undergraduate degrees in Psychology (B.A.) and Biology (B.S.) at the University of Iowa in 2019. After 3 years of undergraduate research, Sam decided to stay at UIowa to pursue a PhD in Neuroscience. Sam joined the Marcinkiewcz lab in 2020 to study the relationship between alcohol use and Alzheimer’s Disease. Outside of the lab, she enjoys reading (non-academic) literature, weightlifting, and spending time with her birds and rabbits.
